Free Master Classes Open to all local dancers
For the intermediate students,
ages 9~12: 4:30pm-6pm
Teachers- Dan Mont-Eton, Mary Lyn Graves, and Megan McCarthy
This intermediate class will focus on improvisation through physical sensation, listening, and choice making. Guided by teachers, dancers will awaken their bodies and minds while engaging themselves, the other dancers, and the space around them.
For the advanced students,
age 13 & up: 6:15pm-8pm
Teachers- Melissa Younker, Bashaun Williams, and Yebel Gallegos
With a focus on alignment and musicality, this class will guide you through technical principles while layering challenges to improve improvisation and partnering fundamentals.
Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company is Utah's most established institution for contemporary dance. The Company actively embraces and commissions the work of contemporary choreographers, tours worldwide, and develops dynamic education and community outreach programming.
